Speed Up Slow iPhone running iOS 9.3.2

So iOS 9.3.2 has been finally released for the public and it instantly saw millions of downloads in the first day itself. The response was so crazy that the Apple servers were probably facing overload due to so many simultaneous updates around the world, which resulted in update errors for many users. Well, nobody is to be blamed, as the hype around iOS 9 was so much that everybody got impatient and wanted to get the update immediately as it launched.

The new iOS 9 packs a lot of new features and is the best iOS firmware till date. It’s beta testing had been going on for more than a month, thus resulting in a very smooth and stable firmware. The iOS will be a solid performer and will be noticeably faster and more fluid that the previous iOS versions. However, it is possible that older devices may face some device slowdowns probably due to the inclusion of so many features in iOS 9. How to Speed Up Your Device on iOS 9

1. Perform a Fresh Restore of iOS 9:
Slowdown issues may sometimes be cause by OTA updates. So it is always better to manually restore to iOS 9 using the manual IPSW method with iTunes.
  1. Go to this link and download the iOS 9 IPSW firmware file for your particular iOS device model.
  2. Update your iTunes and launch it. itunes update mac
  3. In your iOS device, go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone in your device and toggle it off. find my iphone turn off
  4. Now plug in your iOS device to your computer.
  5. Now go to iTunes and hold down the Alt key (for Mac) or Shift key (for Windows) and simultaneously click the Restore button. itunes restore
  6. Now select the iOS 9 IPSW file that you downloaded in the first step. ios 9 ipsw

2. Turn Off Spotlight Search and Siri Suggestions:
  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Tap on General and go to Spotlight Search.

3. Turn on Reduce Motion:

  1. Go to Settings > GeneralAccessibility.

  3. Turn on the toggle.
4. Delete Useless Keyboards:
  1. Go to SettingsGeneral > Keyboard > Keyboardsdelete-keyboards
  2. Swipe left on all the keyboards you don’t use and want to delete.
5. Disable Siri If You Don’t Use It Much:
  1. Go to Settings > General > Siri. siri-settings
  2. Turn it off.
6. Disable Automatic Updates:
  1. Go to SettingsApp and iTunes Stores.

7. Clear Website Data and Cache in Safari:
  1. Go to Settings > Safari.
